Shampain

All I have been talking about the last few weeks is the fact that it is my best friend's birthday on the 3rd. As it is now, the 4th, it means her birthday has passed and she is now 18. My gifts to my best friend consisted of the following: (1) a birthday book which I stayed up 'til 4 that night completing. (2) some body spray stuff, (3) eyeshadow which was apparently the shade she wanted, and (4) an I.O.U for polaroids of her birthday.

We went paintballing. Although I am the most uncoordinated person on Earth, I really, really adore the paintball place - nothing makes you feel more like you're in metal gear solid. I even did a tuck & roll at one point and proudly announced that I was content with my life. After being shot out early as hell in the first round, I kept to my tactic of blindfiring and just running around the back and managed to stay in pretty late, or the whole time for most of the rounds.

HK has a science museum which is free entry on Wednesdays, and since it was a Wednesday and we had roughly three hours to kill before dinner, me and Es met up with Lian. Long story short: couldn't find the science museum, I almost choked to death outside the space museum, we took the scenic star ferry back to central island and took cute photos.

Story of the purple balloon: found on a field trip in year 12, the purple balloon was blown up and given a face and an identity - Lale. (Lian, Alison, Laura, Esme.) Lale lived a short and peaceful life, and eventually died at the hands of - we think it was Ali. For a birthday present, Lale was resurrected and came to the Science museum (not that we went there anyway,) with us. Lale later had some makeup applied by Lian whilst me and Es got ready back at mine for dinner with the largest freaking crowd ever. (But best.)

Self timer and a perfect day makes for amazing lighting to be honest.

As per usual, we headed out after and I shall do a usual summary because going into detail would just require too much work:
  • free open bar and I'm friends with the bouncers now.
  • couldn't get into one of the places because it was the mean bouncer but I was rejected nicely this time because I was with Sav and he's friends with Sav. He actually said, "I'm sorry, I can't."
  • met up with some other people and met some new people - not that I know any of their names because I couldn't hear them anyway.
  • convinced a friend that we had to walk to Alaska right away. I did not know which direction Alaska is, however, so just ended up walking to central and I decided that the "Do not step on grass" grass was a good enough substitute.
  • Tried to break into a park and got mud all over my new white shorts.
Lizzy isn't here so she's missed out which obviously sucks. Being the great friend I am, I went home and sent her a perfectly-spelled (impressive,) update on the night and went to bed as the sun was coming up. My coming-home etiquette has improved: I did not wake anyone up or leave a massive mess in the kitchen.

Back in Hong Kong for three days and I'm already having so much fun. Shit, I might even start to miss this place. I've always complained about it, but now that I'm leaving - I don't really mind. I still have almost two months anyway, so I'm sure I'll be back to complaining soon enough.
