Mid-Week Ruminations

Or, almost mid-week. It's Tuesday, but almost 11pm. Close enough.
This would ideally be a post artistically scattered with beautiful photos but since I have neither photoshop or the motivation at this second, there is a lack of beautiful photos to artistically scatter.

So, leading back: Friday before my departure was a chilled drinking night at Knightcote which basically meant the same-but-new rubbish we usually get up to. I witnessed a breakdown over the death of Mufasa, (no names,) was victim of several tickle attacks now that my hallmates have discovered how ridiculously ticklish I am, found out where these hidden tunnels are, and have taken part in one of the more difficult games of 21 - Star Wars quote on 16, meaningful life story on 6, and someone in the block you don't like on 14. Can we say i n c r i m i n a t i n g?

So Saturday morning, I,
clad in a cardigan to cover my bruise-covered arms from where I'd been restrained and tickled, packed up my bags - JUST KIDDING, my guitar case because I didn't have a smaller bag. Traveling indie-musician-hipster style! - and headed down to my Aunt-Who's-Near-London's.

Some thoughts on the railway/train stations in England, (in somewhat chronological order,):
  • What the fuck is this ticket machine?
  • Seriously where am I going?
  • Why are the prices so different?
  • NO ew I'm not paying that gross. How do I cancel?!
  • SHIT these trains are loud.
  • Hahahahahahha I'm like sitting alone on a bench on a platform and it's outside hahahahha look at me.
  • I'm like Chihiro from Spirited Away when she waits for the train!
  • Except I'm not because their train was slightly submerged in water.
  • The names of places here are so funny oh my god.
  • No don't sit next to me oh my god stop it anti-social teenager alert!
  • PLATFORM 9! AND 10!
  • Don't run into any walls here. That's way too lame even for you.
  • What the fuck, why are all the staircases on the underground like bloody wind tunnels?
  • Oh cool, I'm in a skirt. Convenient!
  • Why is this train so small I feel like a hobbit!!!
  • Except I'm not because hobbits don't feel small in their own homes or anything...
  • I feel like a human in a hobbit-sized train!
  • Where am I going oh my god.
  • How do I see where i'm going.
  • OH GOD I'LL HAVE TO ASK FOR DIRECTIONS.
I didn't have to ask for directions though. (Thank god. I hate that.)
Made it to Camden Town where I wandered up and down and although I am stingy, managed to spend money on I-Don't-Know-What-Exactly, (this shit always happens,) and met up with........Megan. (As in, the girl who's at Warwick with me, cause that's how we do it.)

Met up again today and went to Chinatown. Bought tapioca and big straws which can only mean one thing: guess who's making bubble tea back at Warwick?! (If your guess wasn't me, it was wrong.)

So, this was meant to be a quick update-ish thing which it kind of is. Having a chill day tomorrow. Which will probably equate to spending too much time on the internet again. BUT IT'LL BE OKAY, BECAUSE SKYRIM IS OUT ON FRIDAY. I assure everyone that productivity levels will be severely lowered from then on. Ads and displays all over London getting me so psyched!
