new year jelly shots

Blogging whilst I wait for my sound clips to upload to my laptop. Just spent the whole morning filming. Filming always scares me as I'm always so afraid something will go wrong, especially since my partner isn't here... but I think today went well, and although there were problems with the sound recording, (hopefully) everything turned out well!
I'm really pleased anyhow. Aesthetically, the clips look pretty. There might not be enough variety, but uhh...

We still have quite a few bits to film though.. and most people are done, so that's a little uhh. At least they can all be filmed in school...

Anyway back to topic.

Last night i went to my friend Lizzy's for jello shots and skittles vodka (felt like candy I guess.) Going to start by saying I'd never been that drunk in my life. Getting home on the bus was so DIFFICULT, i was trying so hard not to fall asleep. Apparently my mom didn't know anyway, so what she must have thought when I came in wobbling all over the place...
Pretty much picture of our night...

But anyway, first about our eventful trip there. We decided to get paisano's or something, which is a place that does massive pizza. Not exaggerating when I say massive.
fucking huge

Because we are both poor students/cheap, we decided to take the mtr, and then a cab. That meant walking through central with a massive pizza. And then standing on a crowded train during rush hour with a massive pizza.

It did taste really good though, so i suppose it is forgiven!

And then time for the main festivities of the night:
Lizzy made jello shots god raspberry and strawberry. including LEMON ones, no idea how she did it.
The rest of the night is a haze of ib english references (jesus christ I'm cool...) Light painting, photos, muffins from pacific coffee (because apparently i'm too much of a high class drunk for cheap fast food, which is uh, usually the usual contender for drunk bingeing)

I did have to leave partway through to meet Ali to collect stuff for filming... (which turns out I didn't need, but will continue later) So I stumbled through the mtr and causeway bay to the football club. No idea how I managed that journey there and back. I did stop at mrs fields, which do a 9.30-10.00 half price deal, but the line was RIDICULOUSLY long and i was buzzing with energy.

We eventually took Karina home (where she managed to uh, drop her phone... down the hole between the lift and the platform...) and we somehow got to my bus stop and i somehow did not completely fall asleep on the bus. So basically I ended up home (whilst going on a massive text rampage uh.)

I woke up feeling fine though, which is something I was quite worried about, since I'm filming today. Luckily everything went well and I think we made a big ~leap in progress~ Either way, I'm not worried about my film anymore ! I think I will edit tonight in bed ooh that seems lovely !

Busy week ahead - cheung chau trip, photoshoot, and of course chinese new year traditions !

Good evening.

I always always try blogging. I always start with this message. I then post 3 more times and forget about it.

I am always inspired by the idea that I can one day go back and look at my life in full through posts and photos. This is a good time to start - 2011 should be the most monumental year for me. 2011 is the year i will - excuse the cliché - leave the nest forever. I graduate (hopefully, at least) in May. I will go off to a university (hopefully, again) located on the other side of the world.

So this will be my documentation. As usual, this is a standard introduction post.
This is pretty much what I look like most of the time.

I'm obnoxious and annoying but secretly sort of nice (if I think you deserve it) and I suck at explaining myself.

So I was discussing with a friend today what era we'd best be suited to live in. Although he said I was suited for the future, I think I belong more in the far past. This generation is weak. Kids barely go outside and PLAY. Technology can't emulate broken bones, scraped knees and falls off monkey bars. I'm glad I grew up the generation i did.

I love the idea of adventure and danger. Pirates, cowboys and knights are amongst some of the most popular concepts of escapism and it's easy to see why. I want to be a pirate!

Completely off topic, I've destroyed my foot. I'm not quite sure how, but just as I started getting into a habit of running daily - a four day consecutive record - I do something stupid. It's been 3 days, and I think it's getting better. Meanwhile I'm gracefully limping around the place feeling sorry for myself.

Next week we have a week off school for chinese new year, which is the celebration of (obviously) the chinese new year ! Traditionally, unmarried girls get red packets with money from married people, so you can rack up money here. I don't get as much as some as my chinese family isn't very rich, but it's always nice to have a week off and have an excuse to feast. Friday is our girl's night, skittles vodka and jello shots whilst playing a jersey shore drinking game (made by me...) Monday I'm doing a photoshoot of two friends, (well a friend and a friend of a friend,) and after that the week is open. Although me and Catherine have decided we are going to learn to write in hieroglyphics. Not sure why uhh.

Hmm i can never sign these things off nicely. This is getting long/ i have homework/ i still want to be a pirate? :)
